Project for A&I Avenues
Date: January 2024 to July 2024
Role: Web Designer, Graphic Designer, Content Creator
Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Wix, GoDaddy, Canva
For this project, I was tasked with designing and developing all materials for a new case management agency in Colorado called A&I Avenues. The process began with logo design, where I worked through several iterations, constantly refining the concept with the Executive Team to ensure it was not only visually appealing but also accessible. A primary focus was on achieving the right balance of color contrast, following WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure that the logo would be easily legible for all users, including those with visual impairments.

As I developed the brand guidelines, I emphasized clarity and consistency. The goal was to create a cohesive identity that reflected the mission of the agency while being easy to implement across all mediums. I carefully selected fonts and color palettes that would maintain readability, while considering individuals with cognitive or visual disabilities.

The website was built using Wix, with a clear focus on simplicity and accessibility. I wanted to create an online presence that felt welcoming and easy to navigate, so I utilized clean design elements and organized the content to prioritize readability. To further boost accessibility, I secured a free application that helps enhance website functionality for users with disabilities, adding features like text resizing and keyboard navigation support.

In addition to the website build, I also helped troubleshoot DNS connections for a third-party app called Wayfinder, which was essential for enhancing the agency’s location and mapping features. This project not only involved technical problem-solving but also reinforced the importance of accessible design at every stage of the development process. The final result was a strong brand identity paired with a user-friendly, accessible website that met the agency’s needs and values.
